Join the LGBTQ Center for our Safe Zone Lunch and Learn Series—you bring your lunch, we will provide dessert and dialogue! Each session will feature a deeper-dive educational experience regarding various aspects of LGBTQ experiences and action steps for building more inclusive communities for individuals of all sexual orientations and gender identities. Lunch and Learns are open to all members of the Wake Forest community. Prior completion of the Safe Zone workshop is encouraged but not required; however, sessions will generally upon the base knowledge level and concepts introduced in the Safe Zone workshop.
Fall 2017 Session Topics will be as follows:
September 22—The A is Not Silent: The Asexual Community
October 25— LGBTQ History: The Moments, Movements, and Movers and Shakers that Got us to Today
November 15—An Epidemic of Violence: Attacks on Trans Women of Color in the US
