Free Flu Shots

Wake Forest University is offering free flu shot clinics to all faculty, staff, and retirees. Spouses and dependent children (8 years and older), who are enrolled in the university’s BlueCross BlueShield medical plan are also eligible. Speak with your primary care physician to see if the flu shot is right for you. All supplies are preservative and latex-free. 

Registration: Advanced registration is only required for faculty and staff. The deadline to register is by 2:00 p.m. the day prior to the scheduled flu shot clinic. 

*Spouses and dependent children do not need to register. 

Drive-through flu shot clinics: In addition to our on-campus clinics, WFU is offering a drive-through flu shot location at LJVM Coliseum (2825 University Pkwy, Winston-Salem NC 27105). All individuals in the vehicle are required to wear a mask. Those receiving a flu shot must be seated at a window or door that can be opened. The drive-through clinic is not recommended for first time flu shots, for those who do not respond well to them, or for those that have anxiety about needles. In the event of bad weather the drive-through flu shot clinics will be moved to the Graylyn Management House.

Important reminders:

• Safety & Wellbeing: Individuals are required to wear a mask. If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, are in isolation/quarantine, or have pending test results do not attend the flu shot clinic.  
• Attire: Wear clothing that allows easy access to the upper arm. Short sleeves are preferred.
• Identification: Faculty, staff, and retirees should bring their Deacon OneCard. Spouses and dependent children should bring their BCBS insurance card.
• Documentation: Bring a completed Flu Shot Consent Form (download in English or Spanish).
