Listening In Layers (Communication)

  1. Wednesday, April 5th, 20171:30pm - 4:30pm

Do you really hear what’s being said to you? Do you respond in a way that satisfies a individual’s need to be heard?

Studies show poor listening skills are often the cause of mistakes and problems that cost organizations more than $1 billion a day.  This interactive Ears-and-Eyes-On presentation will awaken you to a whole new mindset in the way you listen. This dynamic workshop will arm you with vital insights and solid strategies to strengthen and fine-tune the way you interact with others. You’ll learn:

·         The difference between hearing and listening

·         That individuals express 70-90% of their messages through body language

·         To offer verbal and non-verbal Encouraging Skills to keep people talking

·         Methods to recognize the hidden meaning in an individual’s word choice

·         How to tell whether a person is checked-in or checked-out of the conversation

·         To effectively respond to intense emotional expression

·         How to listen for statements within questions

·         Ways to respond by using direct and indirect feedback

·         What to do when a person keeps repeating the same old thing
