Join the LGBTQ Center for our Safe Zone Lunch and Learn Series—you bring your lunch, we will provide dessert and dialogue! Each session will feature a deeper-dive educational experience regarding various aspects of LGBTQ experiences and action steps for building more inclusive communities for individuals of all sexual orientations and gender identities. Lunch and Learns are open to all members of the Wake Forest community. Prior completion of the Safe Zone workshop is encouraged but not required; however, sessions will generally upon the base knowledge level and concepts introduced in the Safe Zone workshop.
Spring 2017 Session Topics will be as follows:
January: Reflections on Creating Change, the National LGBTQ Task Force annual conference
February: At the Intersections - Experiences of Black LGBTQ Students
March: Building a Socially Just LGBTQ Movement
April: Queerness in the Media and Pop Culture
May: LGBTQ Law and Policy
