Using the motivation framework from How Learning Works, we will examine ways to motivate students to engage in the process of writing  rather than just trying to find shortcuts to the product.

The TLC spring 2013 workshop series is themed around the topic of motivation. Motivating students is a complex task and the overwhelming emphasis on grades can make it even harder to find ways to reach students and create a genuine excitement about learning.
