Navigating Study Abroad: Preparing Students Beyond the Classroom

$295 (non-WFU Faculty, no accommodations)
$395 (non-WFU Faculty with accommodations)
Designed for faculty and staff who teach short- and long-term programs abroad, this annual practitioner’s workshop features international education experts who will share their insight, strategies and personal experiences to help participants increase their students’ intercultural competence. Practical, hands-on sessions will be offered on topics such as:
- Conducting effective study tour programs
- Successfully working with external programs
- Developing peer training programs
- Creating culturally-based student assignments
All sessions will also include small group interaction so participants can discuss principles learned and create sample assignments.

Application Deadline: December 1, 2009
- Special Notes: Wake Forest faculty and staff may attend at no cost, but must sign a separate agreement to attend. Non-Wake Forest attendees should select "Community" when registering below for the workshop. Non-Wake Forest attendees must pay for the workshop within two weeks of registering.
