Shayla Herndon-Edmunds

Brief Biography

Edmunds is actively engaged in Wake Forest’s efforts to create and maintain a more diverse and inclusive community. In 2009, she founded the Gatekeeper’s Workshop, which offers training in diversity and cultural competence to campus staff.

Ms. Edmunds received her B.A. degree in English with a minor in business administration from George Mason University in 2002. She is a married mother of two and is also a self-published author, mentor, and motivational speaker.
