Mary Elizabeth Lynch

Brief Biography

Mary Elizabeth Lynch, M.A., J.D., is an educator, conflict transformation specialist, and an attorney/mediator. She holds a master's degree in philosophy and is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law.

Mary Elizabeth practiced employment and family law for many years before focusing on alternative dispute resolution and mediation.  In 2005 she turned her professional energies towards helping people transform their own inner conflicts and became president and senior course leader of the Personal Transformation and Courage Institute, which she had co-founded in 2000.

Since 2010 she has also been engaged in a number of ways with George Mason University’s Center for the Advancement of Well-Being.  Serving as an adjunct faculty member at Mason, she has taught undergraduate courses such as “Personal Transformation: Identity and Conflict” and “Cultivating the Spirit:  Practices to Support Student Well-Being.”   She is also a member of the faculty for Mason’s advanced coaching certificate program, offered by the Office of Continuing and Professional Education.

 

Mary Elizabeth uses her intuition and insight to help others see themselves and their life situations in new and expanded ways. She helps participants clarify their ideals and purposes. From there, she guides them in moving through physical, emotional and mental patterns that stand in the way of fully expressing and utilizing their talents in the world.
